Catbot, Advanced Robot Running Ability Similar Owns Cats

The development of robotic technology is now growing rapidly. Having previously existing robots that can jump, now Swiss researcher has created a robot that is capable of running. The robot was given the name Catbot .

This robot is created in a laboratory belonging to the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne. This robot also has a cat-like body structure with four legs. The researchers also deliberately designed the robot legs by taking a model from a domestic cat.

With the robot, the researchers hope to provide technological advances in biomechanics. Especially on foot design that aims to create a robot that can move more quickly. In the end, they also hope that the design of this robot can be used for rescue or exploration missions.

This robot is also claimed as the fastest robot in its class weighing less than 30 kilograms. In the tests conducted, the robot has the ability to move almost 7 times the size of his body in one second. Of course the speed is still far from the speed of a cat. But it became a separate achievement for the world of technology.

This is Here Similar Bird Robot that Can Fly with wings named Robo Raven

The world is full of robots seems to be getting close. Having previously been a robot with a cat -like shape, the other is now a robot -like animals re-introduced. The robot named Robo Raven who has a bird-like body structure.

This robot with birds similarity lies in its ability to flap its wings. The robot is equipped with two synchronous motors assigned to the wing flapping. With the motors, batteries and actuators, the robot must have a fairly heavy weight and become a problem if used to fly. However, the researchers found a solution.

The robot, developed by a team of researchers from the University of Maryland, USA is also has a light weight by using 3D printing technology. With this technology, the robot body can be made lighter with materials of the polymer.

Interestingly, these robots do not only have the ability to fly. Even this sophisticated robot can also perform such maneuvers are carried by birds . Moreover, from a distance , this robot looks like a regular bird.
