Tiny plane Puma AE Capable of Surviving Fly Over 9 Hours with the Power of Solar Cells

A small plane with the name Puma AE recently introduced by AeroVironment. Unmanned aircraft is also equipped with environmentally friendly technology thanks to the presence of solar cells as a power source.

Although the use of energy from solar cells, it turns Puma AE has the ability to fly, no less. Quoted from Gizmag, Puma AE is able to survive in the air nonstop for 9 hours and 11 minutes. The ability was 2 hours longer than the Puma AE uses standard batteries.
Solar cells on the Puma AE using gallium arsenide (GaAs), which is produced by Alta Devices. Seniior VP AeroVironment, Roy Minson said that the solar cells capable of producing power that can be used for long-haul flights.

Puma AE small plane itself is often used in intelligence operations by the U.S. military since 2008. The Company party also plans to test the ability of small unmanned aircraft to fly in the Arctic region.
